Who is Jesus? What if we met him and he told us who he is and introduced himself to us? What would he say?
Through the Bible, he tells us about himself through his experiences, his travels, his encounters.
When I first came to Christ, as I spoke to him on a daily basis, I spoke more than I listened, and did not give him enough time to talk to me about him.
But the more time passed, I began to understand that in my moments of prayer I needed to listen in order for God to speak to me. After all, praying is a dialogue. When I think I can't hear anything, I do not lose hope, because I know I can hear his voice through the bible, in his Word.
So, there is one question that us, Christians, no longer ask ourselves since we’ve already accepted Jesus in our lives: Who is Jesus?
This question is really important and we should ask ourselves that question on a daily basis as we will never grasp the depth of the identity of our Lord.
So, what if we asked him, Jesus who are you? What would he answer?
Truly, truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me
I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but he will have the light of life
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep
Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end
I am the bread of life
These are verses we all know, they are filled with so much power, and remind us that Jesus is Life. Our only path. Many complain, including me: “but Jesus why do you never speak to me? "
He speaks to all of us, we need to learn how to hear from God, and one way is to listen to him through his Word.
God bless you!
